Thought for the day.

“Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors” (Matthew 6:12).

This is a part of the prayer Jesus taught His disciples. Heavenly Father, help us to have an attitude of forgiveness proving that we are Your children.

Do we have the divine character of forgiveness?

Quote for the day: “Forgiveness doesn’t make the other person right, it makes you free.” — Stormie Omartian

Thought for the day.

“Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones you have crushed rejoice” (Psalms 51:8).

The Lord does everything only for our good.

Heavenly Father, help us to remember that even if our bones are crushed You do it  only for our good.

Even in perilous times we must praise God.

Quote for the day: “Even though times of transition are tough, the riches of refinement are worth the pain of loneliness and frustration.” — Susannah Ince

Thought for the day.

“But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen” (Matthew 6:6a).

These are the words of Jesus our Lord.

Heavenly Father, help us to begin our day alone with You  so that we can discern Your will and be filled with Your power to have a blessed day.

Do we spend time alone with God daily?

Quote for the day: “A quiet morning with a loving God puts the events of the upcoming day into proper perspective.” — Janette Oke

Thought for the day.

“and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5).

Our thoughts must be brought under control.

Heavenly Father, help us to bring our every thought to obey Christ that our future may be bright and beautiful as You desire.

Are we bringing every thought to obey Christ?

Quote for the day: “Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions.| Watch your actions; they become habits.| Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.” — Frank Outlaw

Thought for the day.

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the Sons of God” (Romans 8:14).

Natural man is led by his own thinking, willing and feeling.

Heavenly Father, help us to be led by Your Spirit that we truly experience the power of being Your children.

Do we obey the voice of the Spirit always?

Quote for the day: “The Spirit of God will not lead a man where the grace of God cannot keep him.” — Author Unknown

Thought for the day.

“I am like a deaf man, who cannot hear, like a mute, who cannot open his mouth” (Psalm 38:13).

The Psalmist is silent when his enemies speak ill of him.

Heavenly Father, help us to remain silent when people speak ill of us knowing that he who touches us touches the apple of Your eye.

Never react when people speak or do evil against us.

Quote for the day: “Wise men are not always silent, but they know when to be.” — Author Unknown

Thought for the day.

“Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God” (Luke 8:11)

What we sow so we reap.

Heavenly Father, help us to sow only the good seed of the Word of God and reap the best for our eternal future.

Our thoughts, words and actions are seeds which we sow today.

Quote for the day: “Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds you plant.” — Robert Louis Stevenson

Thought for the day.

“No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him” (John 1:18).

The invisible God became visible in Jesus Christ.

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your love which forced You to make Yourself known to us through Christ Jesus our Lord.

No need to doubt the love of God after seeing Christ.

Quote for the day: “God had to be embodied, or else people with bodies would never in a trillion years understand about love.” — Jane Vonnegut Yarmolinsky

Thought for the day.

“Who among the gods is like you, O LORD? Who is like you–majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders” (Exodus 15:11).

Our God is great.

Heavenly Father, help us to remember that there is none like You and You are willing to help us when we call on Your holy name.

Impossible become possible when we call upon Him.

Quote for the day: “What seems too difficult for us is a sure sign that it belongs to God.” — Marie DePree
