Thought for the day.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men” (Colossians 3:23).

Wholehearted service is required of us.

Heavenly Father, help us to remember that You bought us with Your own precious blood and whatever we do we must do it only for You.

When we serve others we are indeed serving God.

Quote for the day: “If you get busy serving God, you’re too busy to sin.” — Chuck Baker

Thought for the day.

“If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us” (1 John 1:8).

Any moral or spiritual mistake is sin.

Heavenly Father, help us to remember that though we are saved we still live in our mortal bodies and unless we are extremely careful sin will take over us.

Are we extremely careful about our lives?

Quote for the day: “Sin will take you farther than you want to go, keep you longer than you want to stay, and cost you more than you want to pay.” — Author Unknown

Thought for the day.

“Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord” (Romans 12:11).

This is a clear instruction of the Bible

Heavenly Father, help us to be fervent in spirit serving You as You expect from us with earnest prayers.

How fervent are we in spirit?

Thought for the day.

“Do not let yourself be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.    (Romans 12:21).

This is a clear command of the Bible.

Heavenly Father, as Your children help us to obey Your word fully and live a life which is acceptable to You for Your glory.

Do we have an obedient life?

Quote for the day: “He that returns good for evil obtains the victory.” — Thomas Fuller

Thought for the day.

“When the crowds heard this, they were astonished at his teaching” ( Matthew 22:33).

Jesus is unique in every way.

Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Your only Son as the unique savior of the world.
Those who belong to Christ are truly blessed.

Quote for the day: “Christ is a substitute for everything, but nothing is a substitute for Christ.” — H.A. Ironside

Thought for the day.

“Pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

Prayer expresses our dependence on God.

Heavenly Father, help us to be in touch with You while we are engaged in any other physical works.

We can be in communion with God all the time.

Quote for the day: “There are thoughts which are prayers. There are moments when, whatever the posture of the body, the soul is on its knees.” — Victor Hugo

Thought for the day.

“And they came to Him and woke Him, saying, ‘Save us, Lord; we are perishing'” (Matthew 8:25).

This happened in the stormy sea with Jesus in the boat.

Heavenly Father, help us to remember that we are helpless without You as  stormy situations can happen any time in our lives.

Those who walk with God can handle any stormy situation easily.

Quote for the day: “There’s nothing like a good crisis to increase my energy and remind me how much I need God.” — Anne Christian Buchanan

Thought for the day.

“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).

This is an undeniable truth.

Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Your only Son to this world so that we mortals can now come to You as Father.

Only through Christ can the creator become our father.

Quote for the day: “You don’t need to see the way if you follow the one that is the Way.” — Author unknown

Thought for the day.

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7).

This is a clear teaching of the Bible.

Heavenly Father, help us to depend on You in all our situations in life, even when it is hard, knowing that we have a Father who cares for us.

There is no need for a child of God to worry.

Quote for the day: “Whatever tries us in any way, speak to the Lord about it.” — George Mueller
